Union Jacks British Pub

This project showcases the transformative interior renovation of a large-scale shopping complex waterfront destination, where three original restaurant spaces have been meticulously reimagined into a unified, inviting, and highly adaptable environment.

Spanning 25,000 square feet of interior space, the new layout offers a cohesive and immersive guest experience, enhanced by carefully curated materials, lighting, and spatial flow. A proposed mezzanine level, to be introduced in a future phase, will further enrich the spatial dynamics—offering elevated views and additional flexibility for dining, private events, or entertainment.

The renovation also introduces 2,400 square feet of exterior space, strategically positioned to overlook the adjacent boardwalk and lake. This outdoor terrace acts as an extension of the interior ambiance, offering patrons a scenic, relaxed environment that enhances the overall atmosphere and seasonal versatility of the venue.

A core priority of the renovation was accessibility and inclusivity. Major upgrades to building entries, interior circulation, and restroom facilities were executed to fully comply with ADA standards, ensuring the space is welcoming and navigable for all visitors. These interventions were seamlessly integrated into the design, maintaining the architectural character while expanding access.

The result is a thoughtful balance of preservation and innovation—a revitalized landmark that honors its historical roots while establishing itself as a modern hub for food, drink, and cultural engagement. This renewed destination stands poised to become a central gathering point for the community, offering memorable experiences in an atmosphere rich with character and connection.
