Interior Alteration
RH+ARCH, in close collaboration with M Design Studio, led a transformative interior renovation of the Residence Inn in Bethesda, Maryland, redefining the look and feel of a property originally rooted in 1990s design. This comprehensive project focused on modernizing the hotel’s interior while enhancing functionality, comfort, and brand alignment for today’s extended-stay guest.
Tasked with breathing new life into aging spaces, the updated interiors now reflect a warm, contemporary palette—combining timeless materials, smart spatial planning, and Marriott’s evolving design standards to create an inviting, home-like environment for travelers.
Key areas of transformation included the main lobby, breakfast and lounge zones, corridors, and guest suites. The redesign emphasized clean lines, layered textures, and multipurpose furnishings to better support the needs of business and leisure guests alike.
This renovation demonstrates RH+ARCH’s ability to merge modern hospitality trends with architectural precision, resulting in a refreshed Residence Inn that honors its legacy while offering a renewed guest experience built for the future.
