Loveless Porter Architects engaged Rich Hostelley Architect as a design consultant for the comprehensive development of the new NOVA Bioscience Center—a 30,000-square-foot facility purpose-built to support the future of biotechnology and life sciences. Rich’s deep expertise in architectural design and scientific planning, resulting in a facility that merges innovation with precision.

The NOVA Bioscience Center is meticulously designed to provide a high-quality environment tailored for companies engaged in cutting-edge bioscience research. With a strong focus on flexibility, functionality, and safety, the facility offers specialized spaces that accommodate the unique demands of life science startups and established firms alike.

At the heart of the center’s design is its advanced suite of Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) laboratories. These labs are engineered to meet rigorous safety standards while promoting seamless workflow and collaboration. The BSL-2 designation ensures researchers can safely conduct studies involving agents of moderate potential hazard, enabling a broad spectrum of research ranging from microbiology to genetic engineering.
